Hiya! I’ve had a few new followers for this blog recently and that’s so great, thanks! I’m sorry there’s a lack of posts at the moment, I’ve just been sooo busy with school right now. I’ll make an effort to start using this properly again. Ooh and an update is that I’ve now raised over £2000 for…
(Wrong blog oops, but now y’all could follow my other one too :p)
do you have any advice or tips on fundraising? i will be going to Costa Rica in the summer of 2014 with outlook expeditions and need to raise the deposit of £200 by january, and with christmas soon its going to be a little harder, any ideas will be much appreciated:)
- It’s a little last minute but you could try going to your local shops/supermarkets and offering bag packing, but I know a lot of places organise this way in advance so you would have to ask. Likewise with gift wrapping services.
- eBay- I cannot stress how much money I’ve made from selling old stuff! Anything will sell with an alright picture & description. Look out for free listing weekends so you get maximum profits- there’ll probably be lots in January what with people selling unwanted Christmas gifts!
- Babysitting, car washing, and other ways you can help people out- try going to a local care home or community centre and leave a notice saying you’re willing to do odd jobs for some extra cash
- Cake sales at your school! If you’re allowed of course, Krispy Kreme donuts tend to be a great seller
That’s all I can think of for now, I’ll post some more on this blog if I think of any. I think fundraising is so much more successful if you do it in groups, so try and get together as a team for some stuff! GOOD LUCK HOPE IT GOES WELL! :-)
